Screenwriter Joe Eszterhas (Flashdance, Basic Instinct, Showgirls) will visit the Tribeca Barnes & Noble on Monday, September 1 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss his book Crossbearer: A Memoir of Faith. The book centers on his stuggles with throat cancer, his addiction to alcohol and cigarettes, and how he found solace in God and his family.

Diddy is throwing a fashion show at the Herald Square Macy’s on Thursday, September 4 in honor of the 10th anniversary of his label Sean John. Starting on Sunday, August 31, shoppers who make a $200 Sean John purchase will receive a pass for two to the show as well as an iPod docking station.
Sandy Denton, “Pepa” of seminal female rap group Salt-N-Pepa, presents all aspects of her life in her autobiography Let’s Talk About Pep. In addition to discussing her career, Denton covers her childhood, marriages, and past abuse. Fellow rappers Queen Latifah and Missy Elliott participate; Queen introduces the book while Elliott contributes the epilogue.
Christina Aguilera will present her newest fragrance, INSPIRE, at the Herald Square Macy’s on Tuesday, September 2 at 5:00 p.m. (Free samples are available through the fragrance’s official Web site.) On the most recent episode of Shear Genius, Bravo’s competitive hairstyling series, Season 2 contestant Nicole Obert earned a spot in the finals by winning a challenge to give twins two distinct looks. Wednesday, August 27 marks the season finale, where she will face off against two other stylists to be named “Shear Genius,” win $100,000, and get the opportunity to style hair for an Allure magazine shoot.
