Participate in Fundraising Contest; Win Camcorders and Grammy Tickets

MySpace IMPACT and PayPal are hosting a fundraising contest between now and Monday, October 13. Participants visit the PayPal/IMPACT page, choose a cause from the list, and add the resulting widget to your MySpace profile. Flip Video Mino Camcorders will go to those who raise the most money for their cause in a given week or who have the most people grab their widget from their profile. Additionally, those winners’ causes will receive $2,500 from MySpace and PayPal.

Necklaces Benefit Abuse Survivors

Jewelry company Me&Ro is offering a special necklace to support the Joyful Heart Foundation, which was founded by actress Mariska Hargitay to aid in the emotional and spiritual healing of sexual abuse survivors. 100% of the proceeds will go to the JHF.


Shop for a Cause at Macy’s: September 20

Macy’s annual Shop for a Cause event will take place this year on Saturday, September 20 in Macy’s stores nationwide, allowing charities to raise money and shoppers to buy goods at specially discounted prices.

Sales of Mia & Kompany’s Isibindi Diamond Medallion Collection will benefit child and youth programs in the Isibindi community of South Africa. The collection includes gold or silver pieces with star-studded diamonds.


Fashion and Beauty Company Helps Various Charities

Women for Hope donates 10% of the profits from its products to a wide range of charities including the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV), the American Heart Association, and RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network). The company offers jewelry, bath and body products, and home accessories.


Brad Pitt and Kiehl’s Help Environment

Brad Pitt and beauty company Kiehl’s will raise money for JPF Eco Systems, the environmental charity they created together, with the Aloe Vera Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser that Kiehl’s will launch in October. The charity will receive all of the proceeds from the sales of the product, which is made of 100% biodegradable ingredients. The main beneficiary will be Pitt’s Make It Right organization, which helps victims of Hurricane Katrina.


David Babaii Assists WildAid

10% of the proceeds from David Babaii’s haircare products go to WildAid, a non-profit organization that works seeks to end the illegal wildlife trade. Kate Hudson is a partner in the cause.


WinkNYC.com Supports Women’s Group

Wink NYC donates 10% of its online purchases to Step Up Women’s Network, a national non-profit organization that enhances community resources for girls and women. Wink sells clothing, accessories, and beauty products in its Manhattan stores and on the Web.

The line features GUESS Green, eco-friendly tops and denim that benefit the Environmental Media Association (EMA); “Time to Give” watches, which help Safe House Ethiopia; G by GUESS tote bags, which benefit the Boys & Girls Club of America; and special edition T-shirts that help Invisible Children.
